Rabbi Kornfeld
Rabbi yechezkel Kornfeld
Rabbi Yechezkel Kornfeld and his wife Devorah moved to Seattle from New York in 1974. He has led our congregation since 1996. Rabbi Kornfeld is well known for his previous role as Educational Director for Seattle’s Chabad-Lubavitch program of outreach. In that role, he taught two generations of Seattle teenagers at the non-denominational Jewish Community High School.
"Shevet Achim, which means ‘to dwell together,’ and sums up my career,” says Rabbi Kornfeld. “I have always worked to build an environment for all kinds of Jews to come together in mutual support, study and prayer. Our vibrant, non-judgmental community celebrates simchas (joyous occasions) as well as supporting those who are ill or need a minyan to say Kaddish after the death of a loved one."
