Sponsoring an Island Synagogue Kiddush

Thanks to our dedicated and generous sponsors, Island Synagogue is delighted to offer a sit-down Kiddush every Shabbat. We warmly encourage everyone to attend and enjoy Rabbi Kornfeld's Divrei Torah, as well as the wonderful opportunity to socialize with fellow congregants and visitors.

Choosing Your Date:

1. Check the Kiddush Calendar @ : Browse our calendar for available dates that suit your needs.
2. Register: Once you've found an open date, click "Register Now" and complete the simple registration form.

Important Deadlines & Recognition:

• Please note: The deadline to sponsor any Kiddush (other than our standard Mezonos) is the Sunday prior to your chosen Kiddush date.
• We would be delighted to acknowledge your generosity in our Newsletter! To ensure your dedication is included, please remember to enter your dedication information when you fill out the Kiddush order form.

Choose Your Sponsorship Option

Island Synagogue offers flexible ways to support our Kiddush program:

Option 1: Standard Menus

These popular menu options are sourced from QFC, Seattle Kosher, and Einstein's Bagels, ensuring delicious and reliable catering for your Kiddush.

#1 Mezonos Basic: $400
#2 Baked Salmon: $575
#3 Baked Chicken: $550
#4 Sushi Kiddush (4 trays): $700
#5 Bagels and Smoked Salmon: $550
#6 Baked Salmon & Sushi (2 trays): $800
#7 Baked Chicken & Baked Salmon: $850
#8 Deli Meat (Challah Included): $800
#9 Deli Meat (Challah Included) & Sushi (2 trays): $1100

• Note: Any Kiddush can be designated as "washing" by adding Challah for $75.

Enhance Your Kiddush with Add-Ons! You can now elevate your chosen Kiddush menu by adding:

• Sushi - $100/tray of 100 pieces
• Einstein Bagels - $150/6 dozen
• Challah - $75/60 rolls

Option 2: Custom/Event Kiddush

Planning a special celebration like a Brit Milah, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, birthday, or anniversary? Our custom option allows you to tailor your Kiddush experience.

• Select "Custom Kiddush" on the registration form.
• Contact Beryl, our Event Coordinator to plan your unique event Kiddush.
• You'll select your own Island Synagogue-approved caterer and foods, which you pay for separately.
• Synagogue costs for this option are $300. This includes:
  • 1 kitchen staff member
  • Disposable goods for up to 90 people
  • Linens for our standard setup
• Please note: Baked goods must be Pas Yisroel, and dairy Kiddushim must be Cholov Yisroel. All food items must have a Vaad-approved hechsher.

Option 3: Kiddush Fund Contribution

Prefer to contribute generally to our Kiddush program? You can join others in supporting the Kiddush Fund.

• Use the Donations form on our website.
• Select "Kiddush Fund" from the Fund drop-down box.

Partial Sponsorship

You can also contribute with a partial sponsorship starting at a minimum of $100. Your contribution amount will remain confidential, but you'll receive a "Partial Sponsor" mention on the Kiddush calendar and in our newsletter. Multiple individuals can partially sponsor the same Kiddush, just contact Keith to unlock the registration!

If a Kiddush date is already sponsored, and you'd like to co-sponsor, please connect with the original sponsor first to confirm their approval. Once confirmed, let Keith know, and he will open registration for you.
