A conversation with Michael and Dr. Diane Medved, moderated by Todd Herman
The Yiddish word “bashert” means destiny. It’s often used by Jews to describe the sense that their marriage was somehow pre-ordained. Americans have a similar idea that our nation’s history follows a divinely determined direction, often worked out in eerie ways.
Of course, lots of couples come to feel that their marriage maybe wasn’t destined all. And not everyone agrees that America’s pursuit of a manifest destiny has been for the good. Who’s right? Is destiny real, or just something we imagine? Michael and Dr. Diane Medved are a bestselling husband-and-wife team, national radio host and psychologist, authors most recently of The American Miracle: Divine Providence in the Rise of the Republic, and Don't Divorce: Powerful Arguments for Saving and Revitalizing Your Marriage.
With KTTH’s new morning radio host Todd Herman as moderator, Michael and Diane will lead the audience in a candid and eye-opening discussion.
The Medveds’ will sign copies of their new books,
The American Miracle and Don’t Divorce after the program;
all proceeds support the work of Island Synagogue.
